Once upon a time this blog was about recruitment related stuff. These days I don’t seem to have so much time to post and, when I do, it ends up being about general things I’m interested in rather than anything specific. If I had to sum it up, it’s a mix of recruitment, education, graduate employability, volunteering and life. But that’s pretty vague, huh… ;)

About Me

I fell into recruitment by mistake about eight years ago. Prior to that I’d worked more on the HR and customer service side of things and had never realised what I was missing! After spending several years working in a small niche in the construction industry and as a headhunter predominantly in FMCG, I started doing some consultancy work in the public sector. Currently I work primarily in higher education supporting the employability agenda.

I talk too much, am opinionated, love social media, am a total geek and feel cut off from the world if I don’t have access to my mobile phone. When I’m not online I can be found either in the garden, travelling the world, springboard diving in the swimming pool, or in front of the teevee with Mr J watching horror movies.

About This Blog

To tell you a bit more about my blog I made this (very short) video a long long time ago. This was my first attempt at video and took at least 3,000 attempts, however I have left it up as it’s vaguely amusing. See if you can count how many times I say the word “stuff”… ;)
